[Lander's Outfit, Butte Record article reprinted in the Sacramento Union, September 3, 1860]

            Lander's Outfit. From the Butte Record we learn that the entire outfit of Colonel Lander's expedition will be sold at once and is advertised. It consists of five teams and pack mules, horses, wagons, harness, saddles, apparijos, picks, crowbars and steel drills. The expedition is expected to reach Oroville somewhere between the 5th and 10th of September, when any portion of the above stock or fixture will be sold at private sale. The balance will be sold at auction at an early day.
