[Treaty with the Indians, Marysville Express article reprinted in the Alta California, August 31, 1860]

            Treaty with the Indians.—Mr. Lingle who arrived in the city last evening from Washoe, informed us that on his way he met a courier carrying the news to Carson City, that a treaty had been entered into with old Winnemucca and the Indian tribes. When last heard from, Col. Lander was on a visit to Winnemucca, and, we presume, the treaty was the result of his visit.—Marysville Express, 29th inst.
