Important from Nevada Territory – Resignations of Judges Turner, North and Locke.

Carson, August 22d.

Judge North, of the Supreme Court, resigned to-day, on account of ill health. After this, the members of the bar having objection to the trial of their suit by two Judges only, Chief Justice Turner stated that the resignation of Judge North had taken him by surprise, but now, as two Judges could not properly try the causes, another Court was emasculated by the resignation of Judge North, and as this was the last term of the Supreme Court until after the new State judiciary would take their places, he felt that no public interest could suffer and no public duty would be violated, and he thereupon resigned his place. The Court adjourned sine die. Judge Locke has since resigned.
