The Prairie Mail Box, by Rufus Zogbaum (1887)
The Great Comstock Sunlight Project
Editor, The Nevada Observer,
Sir,
This is the right solution but, for the wrong era. It would have been easy to get funding in the 1860-70 with the government behind you. Alas, now with the Political correctness and the Greens we would never get a permit to use up that much sunlight or dig a hole of sufficient size.
Great article for April.

Convergence Theory 202,006
Dear Mr. Gunn,
What is it specifically that's supposed to happen at Yucca Mountain in 200,000 years? Do the radiations from the several different materials converge at that point?
Thanks,

Right Name, Wrong Place
Johnny,
In today's story, "Yucca Mountain: Government Accountability Office Blisters Department of Energy," you wrote that Bechtel has been replaced as the Yucca Mountain contractor.
The DOE Yucca Mountain contract is separate from the Nevada Test Site contract, for which DOE recently announced a contractor change from Bechtel Nevada to National Security Technologies. Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC is the contractor at Yucca Mountain, and DOE recently renewed Bechtel SAIC's contract for an additional year, through March 31, 2007.
Thanks,
Jason Bohne, Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC
